SME IPO GMP FAQs

What is SME IPO GMP today?

5 of the 16 SME IPOs tracked here carry a grey market premium as of Sat, 12 Sept, 2026. The highest is Maharaja & Speedex India at ₹30, +16.1% over its issue price. SME GMP is quoted the same way as Mainboard GMP, but on much thinner volume.

Why is SME IPO GMP less reliable than Mainboard GMP?

Because far fewer applications change hands. A Mainboard premium reflects thousands of grey market trades; an SME premium can be set by a handful of dealers, so a single large buyer can move the quoted number without any real change in demand. Treat SME GMP as a weak signal, and weight the subscription figures more heavily.

What is the minimum investment in an SME IPO?

SME lot sizes are much larger than Mainboard lots — typically ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,50,000 for a single lot, against roughly ₹15,000 for a Mainboard issue. SEBI sets this deliberately high so that retail investors who cannot absorb the risk are less exposed to it. Each IPO page here shows the exact cost of one lot.

Where do SME IPOs list?

On the BSE SME or NSE Emerge platform rather than the main board, which is why they are quoted separately. Liquidity after listing is materially lower, so exiting a position can be harder than the listing-day gain suggests.

GMP is unofficial. Grey market premium is an unregulated, over-the-counter indication with no backing from SEBI, BSE or NSE. It is not a listing-price guarantee and not investment advice. Read the RHP and consult a SEBI-registered adviser before applying.
